Mary's Closet Volunteer
help a person in their job search Mary’s Closet is an initiative begun by women board members and designed to partner with the clients of Catholic Charities to help them prepare as they seek employment or begin their jobs by offering professional attire and personalized attention to their appearance. Mary’s Closet is one of the final steps toward self- sufficiency for clients in several of Catholic Charities’ programs including, Veterans Employment Program, Immigration and Naturalization Services, Family Shelter Programs and parenting programs. The goals of this program are to: Equip clients seeking jobs with personal attire fittings, professional consultation and image preparation for interviews Lift spirits and confidence through supportive conversation and interest in the client’s upcoming interview/job Provide basic advice on interviewing and social skills
